Spring 2011 RTW: DKNY & Donna Karan

11 Jan

DKNY showed a very fun collection for the Spring. The collection started very tailored and chic — with trench coats and well cut skirts — slowly adding more feminine embellishments like ruffles and florals.

This was a really beautiful collection focused on nature and natural beauty. The runway was covered in sand, adding to the affect of the backdrop to really set the scene for the show. The color scheme was all very soft colors and most of the pieces were nude colored. There were a lot of floaty dresses and skirts that were well cut and sexy dresses. Plunging necklines in a very tasteful and elegant way were present all over the runway. There was a complete absence of masculinity in the line, one of the biggest trends on the runway for the season. This line was all ultra-feminine and glamorous.
