Fall 2010 RTW: Bottega Veneta

21 Jan

Okay…I’m bored. We’re going to do something new. I really wanted to get all the Spring looks in before Fall fashion week, it’s just impossible. New rules: whatever I want to go up does — so here’s something that’s truly in the past now: Bottega Veneta Fall 2010 line. I just can’t seem to get it out of my head…

The beginning of this collection was pretty standard — black, shaped, dark. The ending was where I was truly stunned and inspired by Maier’s ideas. While these colors are commonplace now, for Fall there was not a lot of this beautiful blush color — it was like a premonition of the Golden Globes style trends (minus the emerald). The leather mixed material look is all over but it just is so tasteful and light in the peach color. I really love it. The purple number (the first I selected) reminds me of Blake Lively — I can so see her in this it’s not even funny. It reminds me a lot of the Elie Saab she wore (see here)
