Fall 2011 RTW: Carlos Miele

14 Feb

Everyone’s favorite Brazilian designer was working some magic yet again on the runways earlier today. There were elegant gowns, fun pantsuits and few heavy jackets — but for Brazil I think it can be agreed that this is appropriate. The prints were wonderful and colorful, my favorite being the combination of the velvet one-shouldered top with the purple silk belt connecting to the green patterned skirt — magical. I also love the metallic braiding that seemed to be pervasive through the show. As far as embellishing goes, that’s pretty original to me.
