Fall 2011 RTW: Sass & Bide

18 Feb

This was such a flavorful collection with so many different types of prints and patterns. The tribal theme for Sass & Bide is a constant and it is something they work magically with. The cuts were really unusual here, draping and ostrich feather skirts combined with patterned tops.  Play suits and intricate braided pieces embellishing numerous looks. The colors were all bolds: reds, pinks and neutrals were essentially the gist of the scheme. I love the all tan look with the drapey yet flattering shirt with beading and the shorts with the embellished belt. The next look with the two-tone jacket is just so fun that I love it. It was a great show for the Australian designers — although it should be considering technically this is their last seasons show and they’re just done with spring!
