Fall 2011 RTW: Prada

25 Feb

I genuinely adored this collection. I thought it was brilliantly designed and organized. There was such a flow to the designs — seamlessly transitioning from one idea to the next one without pause or struggle. The first set of looks was a series of outerwear and pea-coats in various colors with wonderful buttons. Then — my favorite series — was the stream of drop-waist patterned, long-sleeved, belted dresses. They were amazing and each as unique as the next. There was one after another for a series of probably ten or fifteen dresses — they were each amazing and unique and, ah, great. Then it transitioned to these dresses with thee furs and then just furs themselves…Always unusual and the colored stoles were delicious. The leather animal printed jackets and wonderful, brightly colored embellished dresses. There was definitely a youthful overtone to this collection and it was one that was very well received. Beautifully done, Miucci.
