Fall 2011 RTW: Gianfranco Ferré

26 Feb

This collection was the epitome of well-designed structure. Each piece was simple and beautifully done, creating a collection for a true minimalist. I loved the simplicity of the long sleeved tight white dress with the simple light, leather plating on the top. It added such a dose of true style to such a simple look. It created a dress that I would love to be have the ability to wear. There was a lot of unusual outerwear, although always simple — simplicity was key here. They were all well cut and there were some really unusual colors such as the really deep royal purple used for many pieces. The furs were simple and toned down in a very mature way. I really loved this collection and the way it honed in on the utter beauty in simplicity.
